Islamweb: Another good general website with articles, news, audios, and a Q&A section, which also has a section for new Muslims: Welcome to Islam.

OnIslam: The new website from the founders of IslamOnline. A website containing a wealth of knowledge, many up to date articles, news, and a good Q&A section. It also has a good section for new Muslims and those interested in Islam: Ask About Islam.

Assembly of Muslim Jurists of America: Questions answered in a practical way by scholars of Islam

Islam Q&A: A great resource for questions, especially about the creed and the pillars of Islam

Islamchannel TV: A wide range of live Islamic TV programmes broadcast over the internet or via Skye satellite TV.

Al Jumuah Magazine: An Islamic knowledge based publication. They primarily address issues regarding Islamic education and moral upbringing (tarbiyyah), spirituality, creed (aqeedah), and jurisprudence (fiqh).

SISTERS magazine: The SISTERS team is an eclectic group of writers who are based all over the world. The magazine covers a range of subjects in the areas of Inspiration, Self, Family, Community, World, Homes, Looks, and Tastes.

Qur’an and Hadith

House of Qur’an: Great site breaking down the Qur’an word-by-word to show you how to pronounce each one individually. Great for beginners. Can use on a pc or mobile.

Quran Explorer: This site has the Qur’an in Arabic + a translation + audio recordings.

Quran Flash: This site has the Qur’an in Arabic + a translation + a transliteration. A nice application to read the Qur’an as in a virtual book. Go to “More Options -> Book Type” to choose the book with the translation and transliteration.

Hadith Database A great database for searching for keywords in the Hadith of Bukhari, Muslim, Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi, Abu Dawud, Nasai and Imam Malik (Muwatta).

Ashiana: A Sheffield-based confidential support service for women suffering domestic violence and abuse. They offer culturally specific advice, support and information to their clients.

National Zakat Foundation: If you know of anyone who is in financial difficultly, contact the NZF. It is a very efficient and practical organization that is making a big difference in people’s lives.

Nour: If you or somebody you know is suffering from domestic violence there is help available. Nour provides access to Islamic Advisors, Legal Advisors and they also have a team of Professional Advisors who can offer health related advice including counselling and psychological support.

Reunite International: UK based charity specialising in international parental child abduction. Includes online advice, prevention guides and information on support services.

SOLACE: Support for Revert Sisters in difficulty and looking for support. SOLACE aims to ensure that no revert sister goes through difficulties unsupported. They provide holistic support enabling women to move forward while strengthening and maintaining her faith and closeness to Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala.
